Joint Blood Drive Hosted by ODU, NSU & EVMS 

The Center for Public Health Initiatives at NSU organized a joint blood drive in partnership with Old Dominion University and Eastern Virginia Medical School. The event took place on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at ODU’s Webb Center in Norfolk, Virginia, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 

The blood drive brought together the Hampton Roads community for a wonderful cause, giving residents the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others. An incredible 72 donors showed up and rolled up their sleeves, each receiving a free t-shirt as a token of appreciation for their generosity. 

A big thank you to everyone who participated and to ODU and EVMS for partnering on such a meaningful event. With each donation having the power to save up to three lives, those 72 donors may have collectively impacted as many as 216 lives — that is the true power of community.
