NSU Faculty & Students Earn Second Publication in 2025 NSAH Journal
April 2025 | Norfolk State University
Norfolk State University faculty and students have earned a second publication in the 2025 National Society of Allied Health (NSAH) Journal with their article, Advancing Health and Learning Outcomes with Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Education, beginning on page 75.
The research examines how Interdisciplinary Teaching Methods (ITM) can help reduce barriers that prevent students in underserved communities from succeeding academically and professionally. The study makes the case that when faculty across allied health, nursing, healthcare administration, health services management, and health informatics work together, they can create more equitable and impactful learning experiences that better prepare students for careers in healthcare.
Congratulations to the research team: Dr. Batrina Martin, Dr. Melody Armstrong, Kenya Martin, Mildred Jackson, Ky’Yana Smith, and Kayla Duncan on this well-deserved recognition.
