O.N.E. School of Public Health Initiative Celebration 

“Public Health is Where You Are” — National Public Health Week 2022 

On April 5, 2022, the Center for Public Health Initiatives at Norfolk State University brought together students, faculty, and community partners for an inspiring evening at the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library Rotunda on the NSU campus. 

The O.N.E. School of Public Health Initiative Celebration marked the end of the semester with a meaningful gathering focused on community building, shared progress, and well-deserved recognition. Held in honor of National Public Health Week 2022, the event drew 34 attendees from across partnering universities and key organizations. 

Guests were welcomed into a beautifully arranged venue, complete with floral centerpieces, institutional banners representing each partner university, and a warm, celebratory atmosphere. The evening featured a video presentation highlighting public health activities across the three institutions, followed by remarks and oral presentations that underscored the initiative’s shared mission and milestones. 

The celebration was a testament to the power of collaboration — uniting universities and community partners around a common goal of advancing public health for all.
