We are proud to announce that NSU faculty and students have published a research article in the 2025 National Society of Allied Health (NSAH) Journal — Social Determinants of Health and Chronic Disease: A U.S. Data Analysis.
This important study examines how income level, healthcare access, and educational attainment contribute to chronic disease disparities in the United States — finding that individuals in lower-income brackets experience significantly higher rates of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and depression.
Congratulations to the research team: Dr. Batrina Martin, Dr. Millicent Ayisi, Dr. Faustina Osei, Kenya Martin, Janaya Belcher, and Tina Harris-Dixon.
The article begins on page 27 of the 2025 NSAH Journal. (page 27 of the Journal is page 30 in the pdf file)
